Savannah for Memorial Day Weekend!!

We have not been to Savannah since Christmas!!  That has got to be a record for us.  The kids love going and were so excited to play with their cousins.  It has also been a while since we saw Big Da.  I couldn't wait for him to see how much Harper has changed.

The pool was ready and the kids literally swam for 3 days.  They are tan, tired, and happy!!  We were able to visit with almost everyone and it was a relaxing fun few days.  We have a bucket list for the summer and this was definitely at the top of the list.  Praying we make it back soon!

EOY Program at BBPS!!

This morning was Turner's last day at BBPS.  He has some precious memories from that school and had great teachers.  They loved him and were all so good to him.  I am going to miss that place.  Thankful we have a little Harper who can start going in 2 years:)
He had his program and did such a good job.  I just cant tell ya how serious he is when it comes to programs.  Mimi and Boo Boo came too and he just lit up when he saw us.  Harper was a mess during it, but we kept her pretty well contained.   Snacks are key!!!
After we gave hugs to his teachers, we went to Genghis Grill to celebrate-his choice.  It was a fun day focused on him and two more days until school is over for everyone!!  Woo hoo!!

Awards Day!

Maddie had her first grade awards program at school today.  She has had a great year.  She received the honor roll award, citizenship award, and had the highest AR points in her class-117.  I got to be honest-we hardly helped Maddie with her homework this year.  I think we went over spelling words twice. ..the whole year.  She has just picked up on everything quickly.
I am a little nervous about next year.  It might not be as easy for her and Turner is going to be in kindergarten.  I have no idea how much help Turner will need with his work.  It could get interesting!!!  But I will just be thankful for the year we have had and we are going to enjoy the summer!!  4 more days:)
A surprise of the day- Harper and I show up late to soccer practice and Maddie is off to the side doing round off back tucks.  What???  An 11 year old at practice showed her how to do one and so she did.  Over and over.  Crazy girl!!

A Few Firsts!

Yesterday London and Cade had their birthday party at Kids Play.  It was our first time there and all 3 kids had a blast.  We love London and Cade and were so glad to help them celebrate their special days!  There was an inside playground,  a bouncer obstacle course, a few toys, and a regular bounce house.  They have open play time during the week and I have a feeling we will be back!
Right next door was Mellow Mushroom-we had never eaten there.  What better place to try after a birthday party:)  Kev and I really liked it, but the kids not so much.  It is a little expensive for pizza, but I am glad we tried it.  On the way home, I had to pick up a few things for Sunday School and Kev and the kids stayed in the car.  All three kiddos fell asleep!!!  At 6 pm!!!  We had to wake them up when we got home to take showers, but I would say the day was a success.  We let Mo skip gymnastics and it was fun having a whole family day!

End of Year Fun!!

The school year is wrapping up and the kids have had a lot of fun at school.  Monday was Maddie's Field Day and the weather was perfect.  Mimi, Boo, Harper, and I went to watch.  It is fun watching Maddie interact with all her friends.  We didnt stay the whole time...Harper wet through her clothes.  Of course I didn't have a spare outfit.  Maddie had a good time though!
Thursday was Turner's last day at MDO and we grilled out hot dogs, got a bouncer, and played outside a lot!  Turner has been a huge help this this year getting the different classrooms ready for the teachers.  Two Iof the teachers gave him $10 for all his work.  He lit up and was so excited!!  Mimi and Boo Boo came to watch for a bit and even Harper got to play in the  bouncer.  Friday was she and my last day and we are excited for summer!!!
Hard to believe another year has gone, but always excited about what is in store.  Really hard to believe our boy is going to be in Kindergarten!!

Mother's Day 2014!

I had a great day yesterday!  I think back to what I thought becoming a mom would look like before I became one (a mouthful I know).  You just truly have no idea until you become one.  I have so much more respect for my mom now.  It is a tough job, but the most rewarding and important one that I will ever have!!  Thankful to have godly examples from both my own mom and mother-in-love Pam!  We missed seeing Nonna yesterday but we will celebrate her soon!!
Harper was dedicated at church yesterday morning.  We committed to raise her in a Christian home and the congregation committed to help us-Praise the Lord, cuz it takes a whole village!!  She made kissy faces at Boo Boo throughout most of it-she is turning into a little ham. (She has the thighs to prove it:)
We had lunch at Mimi and Boo Boo's.  Poor Austin is sick so it was just Megs and A for most of it.  Boo Boo grilled us burgers and hot dogs, Mimi made a pasta salad, and Megs and I both brought dips.  We had cupcakes and ice cream sundaes for dessert.  It was all delicious!
We topped off our night by heading back to church for the preschool's choir program.  Turner looked so cute up there and gave it his all.  He enjoys it so much, I was on the phone with BPAC this morning and am taking him to a theater camp this summer.  I love watching my kids do things they love!!
It was a great Mother's Day!!  Maddie, Turner, and Harper bring us so much joy (and a few headaches:) and I am so humbled to be their mom!

Big Week!

Lots of fun was had this week!  Harper woke up Monday and decided she was ready to walk.  She is getting faster everyday and is our cute little robot:)   Maddie lost (I pulled) her 8th tooth this week.  The excitement is the same as when she lost her first one.  Turner can't wait to begin losing his!
The kids had an end of year party at church last night.  I didnt think T was old enough, but he was and had a great time!  The kids had a by this week in soccer.  It was nice to have the morning off....they insisted their daddy take them to the fields to watch their friends.  Harper and I sat that one out.
It seems as if different milestones are taking plave all the time.  One of Harper's top teeth is so close to breaking through and she is understanding so much more.  She will get us a diaper and throw hers away after we change her.  She still doesnt say much, but it will come.
Turner only has two more days at his church school.  As part of our program, every child in the 3 and 4 rooms get a scrapbook at the end of the year.  His teacher gave me his Friday.   It is precious and something we will keep forever.  It is so precious,  I might skip making his for the year.   It is probably 25 pages and has a TON of pictures in it.  I love it.
Teacher appreciation week just ended and between three schools, we had lots of appreciation to be shown.  I might get to work on that one a little earlier next year!!  It was a good week!
A bonus to the week was a missing shoe found.  Harper has a really fat foot and we own two double wide pairs from Stride Rite.  Two weeks ago one of her sandals went missing.  We had gone walking earlier that day and Kev and I both walked the neighborhood trying to find it.  A few days ago Harper was playing in a cabinet in the kitchen and voila....mystery solved:)

Muffins With Moms!

This morning I was able to spend some time with my favorite little guy at school.  He had made me a great keepsake picture for Mother's Day and we shared some muffins.  I cant believe these are our last few weeks at BBPS for a few years.  It has been a wonderful preschool for both Maddie and Turner and I am really going to miss it.  Thank goodness we will be there again with little H:)
Turner has grown up so much this past year and is so ready for Kindergarten.  He is excited about being in big school and going with his big sister every day.  He is such a serious guy about school and so goofy everywhere else.  I love that he has so many sides to him and sometimes you dont know what you are going to get!  He is our energetic boy growing up in a house full of girls.  Our family wouldnt be the same without him!!

We Love Water!

As different as our three kiddos are, they all have one thing in common.  They love the water.  It can be the bath, a swimming pool, sprinkler, or a water hose will do!  If they are wet, they are happy!
In the bath Harper loves to stick her whole head in the water.  She then lays sideways and just smiles at me.  I known it can't be good for her ears, but every time I try and stop her, she hurries to get away:)  Last night half her face was in the water with her eyes wide open just smiling.  She is going to have a ball in the pool this year!
Turner has been begging to wash our cars.  Today was so pretty outside we decided to let them.  I knew as soon as the water came on they were going to soak themselves.  I was right and they had a blast doing it!  Kev's truck got a pretty good cleaning while they did it.
  Cant wait for summer break!!
