Spring Sports!

Soccer is in full swing around here and little H has started gymnastics.  The big kids are on different teams this year and we just can't catch a night at home.  I hope to do a better update soon.  It seems like once we finally get settled in at night, I fall asleep before I get to this blog:)  Everyone is enjoying their activities and this beautiful weather.  We love Spring!

Easter Weekend!

Our spring break ended with Easter and celebrating that Jesus is Alive!  Saturday Kev made some extra money by working with Fun Times.  The kids and I spent the morning at Megs having a lemonade sale to raise money for the Annie Armstrong offering.  We made posters and offered cookies and lemonade.  The kids gave 50% of their proceeds to church the next morning, which ended up being $11 to church.  They gave with a happy heart, which I decided was better than giving it all grudgingly;)
As I was getting everything set up, I tripped up the stairs and landed pretty hard.  I have been sore ever since and am paying the West Clinic a visit on Wednesday just for peace of mind.  I am dramatic and the tears just wouldn't quit falling.  My kiddos were crying with me, and Boo Boo had to come and bandage me up.  Never a dull moment I tell ya!
That afternoon we headed to church for our Easter Eggstravaganza.  The kids love hunting eggs and had a blast with all their friends and cousins.  There were bounce houses, beautiful weather, and hot dogs.  A great way to spend the afternoon:)
Easter Sunday was spent at Church and then we headed to Mimi and Boo Boo's for lunch and a final egg hunt.  It was a great day spent with family.

Spring Break!

We had a fantastic spring break!  We were all healthy the entire week and were able to do a bunch of fun things!  We headed to Freeman Park Saturday morning for the Baetlett Easter Egg hunt.  It was freezing!!  But the kids love hunting some eggs, so they had fun and we were able to see the Easter Bunny. We then headed to Savannah for several days and the kids were able to play outside a lot and we got a lot of visit time.  We saw the movie Zootopia while we were there, and everyone loved it.  We also made our annual birds nests and Sophia was able to help.
We spent one day at the zoo, which is always a hit.  The big kids wanted to go to the Library to check out some books and we signed them up to do Gadget Hour.  Theh took their tablets and were shown different games to play.  Neither one of them recommend it;)  We met some new friends at the park for a few hours.  A mom from MDO has 4 kiddos, and 3 of them are the same ages as ours and same genders.  Natalie Kate was already Harper's friend, and M and T each made a new one.
We colored eggs and even sent the kids to Mimi and Boo Boo's one afternoon so we could sneak away to a movie.  We also grabbed a bite to eat afterwards.  Thankful for a date afternoon.  Mimi and Boo Boo help us all the time and have had their hands full this past year.  Unfortunately for us though, it has mostly been for doctor visits, or because I was too tired, sick, and Kev was at work.  So, to be feeling well and able to just go out was a treat.
The weekend was spent celebrating Easter and that post will be up next.  We sure did enjoy our week at home with no routine and lots of family time!

Harper Turned 3!

Our baby is 3...THREE!  I just can't believe how fast the time has gone.  She is a little firecracker who always has something to say and a mind of her own!  She loves school, church, baths, chewing gum, "nastics", her best friend Aubry, and can play in her room forever entertaining herself.
She definitely has selective hearing and does what she wants to do.  She LOVE shoes and wants to do everything herself.  She loves Mo and Turner and is very loving.  She tells me she loves me many times a day.  She melts my heart.  She loves milk and likes to tell lots of stories at bedtime.
She brings us so much joy and I am so thankful for her.  She completed our family.  We celebrated her at River City with a gymnastics party with several of her friends.  She had a ball!  She took Oreos to school on her bday for a special snack.  Mimi and Boo Boo came over and brought her a big girl Frozen bike.  We also had cake this last weekend when we went to Savannah, but that will be a different post.
We made sure Harper had a special week and she is thrilled to be 3!

Nashville Nights!

Mo's last competition of the season was a few weeks ago.  We love going to Nashville, and Nonna met us there.  In the past we stayed at Gaylord, which the kids absolutely love.  But the meet this year was at the Music City Center, which is downtown and a little drive from Gaylord.  So we stayed at the Renaissance, which had a pool and a Starbucks!  The kids might have split their first drink from there:)
We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, which everyone enjoyed.  It is a fun place and a few of Kev's cousins met is there as well.  After dinner, we let the kiddos swim for a while.  We remembered Harper's floaties and she swam the length of the pool a dozen times!  We were back in our rooms and ready for bed by 9:30.  We had to be at the meet at 7:30 Sunday morning.
Mo looked great to us, but didn't score very high and only medaled in vault.  This has been a much different season from last, but I think she has had more fun.  She doesn't practice as much, and I think it has been a good balance for her.  We are going to let her do Gold one more year and that will be it.  She will either have to go back to compulsory or quit.  And we are good either way!  Gymnastics was a big deal to me last year, I am afraid more of a priority than it should have been.  This is an area that cancer changed for me.  Gymnastics is fun, Maddie seems to have a natural ability....but there are much more important things!  We are thankful for the people that have come into our path from it and Mo has definitely learned a ton.  Who knows what this next season will bring!
