Tonight we went to Singleton Community Center for the Lighting of the tree. It was so fun....and crowded. The kids saw Santa and Mrs. Claus, had cookies and punch, and did several crafts.
We have a packed schedule in December and are going to try and squeeze in as many Christmas activities as possible! This was a fun start.
Kevin and I met in 1998 at UTM and married in June of 2004. We have three children, Maddie-6, and Turner-4, and baby Harper. Kevin is a teacher and football coach at Bolton High School. I have been able to stay at home with the kiddos for almost two years now and love every minute of it. !!! We attend Ellendale Baptist Church and am so thankful to all of our wonderful family and friends. This is my fourth year to blog and I love recording all our memories!!

The New Room!
Well, we got it done! The bed arrived yesterday and I think we have a pretty good combination of both their things. Turner said it was awesome and Maddie acted a little unsure. We put them in bed last night and read them a story. Maddie was out before we finished!
We kissed T goodnight and shut their door. 10 minutes later I checked on them and Turner had joined Maddie in her bed:) I think we are all going to be just fine!! Now we just have to do a baby room.....after Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving Recap and Christmas Pics!!
Saturday we had brunch at Mimi and Boo Boo's. So sad that Bubba had to work, but Aubry was her usual charming self:) It was great food and company. I am a little overwhelmed with everything that is going on, so I arrived a little grumpy. But left in a much better mood! We normally have Thanksgiving with just our little immediate family and since that included everyone I am thankful for the most, it was great. We dressed the kids in some of their Christmas gear for some pictures. So I did get some pictures at this gathering, but you would never know they were from Thanksgiving:)
After brunch Kev spent the rest of the day painting Turner's room. We painted it a gray color, that I think will great with their new comforters. Can't wait to have everything done!

Room Overhaul!!
Today we ordered bunk beds which should be here in about 2 weeks. I tried saving the picture to post on here, but it wouldn't let me. Another challenge has been finding bedding appropriate for both a 6 year old girl and an almost 4 year old boy. They both said they wanted the room painted yellow, and I found this bedding online today at Target. I think it will work for both boy and girl and they both seemed to like it. Next up is trying to figure out how we are going to place everything and what toys will need to go upstairs.
Please pray for us as we go through this transition. I just want happy, healthy, well adjusted children who love Jesus and who are ready to welcome their new brother/sister with open arms and without any resentment!!

M Lost a Tooth!!!
Well, I picked her up yesterday and she smiled real big and I started screaming. I definitely held up the car line and was just so excited for her. Turns out one of her little buddies (Jack) pulled it for her as they were lining up to leave for the day! They lost the tooth:( I am not surprised at all, her teeth are tiny! Her teacher, Ms. Daniel, told her that she was going to look for it so we will see if she comes home with it today. We headed straight to Mimi and Boo Boo's to show them and Mimi had the same reaction as I did:) Then we called Nonna, sent her a picture, and rushed home to show Daddy and Turner. It was just a fun and exciting afternoon. It isn't every day you lose your first tooth:) We eat dinner at Church on Wednesday's and she spent most of the time going table to table showing everyone!
She wrote a note to the tooth fairy and woke up to $5 this morning. I also had a friend that asked me to take a picture of her while she was sleeping and send it to her. I did and she sent me back a pretty neat pic. I put it as the wallpaper on my phone and told her it was there when I woke up this morning. She didn't quite know what to think! This is just another example of how quickly our kids are growing up. November 7th, 2012 was just another milestone of many more to come!!

Maddie and McKenna!
Last Friday was Maddie's actual birthday. We had the family over for pizza and cookies. I took a ton of pictures but haven't downloaded them yet. I will have to do another post, because I just had to share these pictures I took on my phone. Mimi and Boo Boo gave Maddie McKenna, the American Girl gymnastics doll and she has hardly put her down since! She was so excited when she opened the box. We also got her a few of McKenna's outfits. She has been putting Kylies pajama's on her at night (she has the bitty twins) and put her in Samantha's dress (my AG doll from when I was young) to take her to church. They even had matching hairstyles:) She also put her in Kylie's soccer uniform and made her daddy hold McKenna while she played soccer! I am so glad she is enjoying her-it makes all that money it costs totally worth it!! I am assuming Mimi and Boo Boo would agree:)
Mckenna is the doll of the year, so after December you won't be able to buy anymore of her things. I hear Santa Claus has put in an order or two!! A full birthday post to come soon. Hard to believe she is already 6!!!

We're Having A......
BABY:) That's right-it may look slightly alien like, but we were told today it is a very healthy and active baby! As far as the sex.....I stuck to my guns and we didn't find out. I was worried that we might see something or be able to tell ourselves, but our ultrasound tech was great. About half-way through, I asked her if she knew the sex yet. She said she did, and Kevin and I had totally missed it. I am so glad!! It is going to be the best surprise. She didn't even write it in our chart, so not even the doctor knows. Which means no one will be able to let it slip while we are in the hospital. We took the kids with us today and they didn't enjoy it as much as I thought they would. Maddie's favorite part was watching me get the flu shot:) The baby was very wiggly and it was hard to be able to tell too much. I was hoping for a 4D picture, but she said the baby wasn't in a good position to get one:( I have another ultrasound at my next appointment and I hope that she can do it then!
Because the baby was so active and I think she used the word "stubborn", Kevin and I are both thinking it is a boy. It just reminds us of Turner and how he was in my belly and still today!! The placenta is in the front which is keeping me from being able to feel the baby a whole lot, which is how it was for Turner as well. Believe me, once the baby gets bigger, I will have no problems feeling it if Turner is any indication. That boy was all over the place towards the end. Maddie and Turner both have always referred to the baby as a "she", but I think a lot of that is just having Aubry around and always talking about her.
We don't care what the baby is as long as it is healthy! I do plan on doing yellow and gray for the bedding, which I love and think will go either way. Still trying to decide where everyone is going to sleep and how we are going to do rooms. Some changes have to be made, and I hope to have it all figured out soon! It is a huge stressor for me and I can't wait to have everything figured out and settled. Only a few more months to go, and with all the holidays coming up, I know it is going to be here before we know it!
