Decluttering!

We have been holding onto our junk for a year for the annual neighborhood yard sale.  $300 and two trips to Goodwill later it is over and was a success!  Our garage is now clean and we can begin the process again...we have too much stuff!
The weekend was a good one.  Turner went to an ice cream and park party.  Harper went to the ice cream party and Maddie had a swim/spend the night at a hotel birthday party.  How we love celebrating our friends!
Maddie also had some artwork displayed at the Singleton art show.  In between activities we ran by to get a pic and vote for her piece.
Kev also took M and T to Bartlett Friday night to watch Treasure Island.  They are loving some plays.
My original post was lengthier, but this will have to do.  Counting down till Summer break!

Monkey See...

Harper wants to do everything Maddie and Turner do!  I tell them all the time how important it is to be a good example.  There are always 2 little eyes watching and immitating!

I did a long post yesterday.  After 18 hours it is still publishing...probably will never happen and a shorter version of our weekend will be up next!

Our Weekend

We another pretty low key weekend.  We took the kids to Taco Bell Friday...it cost us $27!!  I was stunned.  It is getting pricey to eat out with 5.  Maddie and Turner chose to sit at a different table.  We were fine with that...it was actually nice;)  They even got along...that made it even better.  We decided to have a movie night and rented Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, no Good Day.  We all love that movie and shared a bunch of laughs.
Saturday the kids played soccer and Maddie made it to half of a gymnastics practice.  H and I went grocery shopping and Kev got the first mow in of the year.  Mimi and Boo Boo picked M and T up to go see a play at Appling Middle.  They Loved it!!!  A boy from church was the lead part and Turner is still talking about him.  He might have even put a crumpled program in his pocket and crayon to take to church....he is wanting an autogragh!  I asked him if he wanted to try out again for the play this summer and he said yes.  I need to look back and see if I ever posted that experience last summer.  Mom and I still laugh about it and it is definitely a story worth sharing!
After church we took the kids to Stevie B's for lunch and will be eating at home all week.  Crazy we spent $60 to eat out twice...at fast food places.  Gross!  But it is nice to have a break from cooking.  We spent the afternoon preparing for our yard sale this Saturday.  We are praying for NO rain.  Our garage has so much stuff we need to get rid of and everything will be going to Goodwill that doesn't sale.  It would be nice to make a bit of extra money.
We went back to Church last night for a choir concert.  It was great and the kids sat with Mimi and Boo Boo.  Turner went out towards the end....poor kid was being held up by the sweet ladies behind him.  Looking forward to the week ahead...only 4 more weeks of MDO till Summer Break!!  The countdown is on.
One thing to share about Harper.  Her new favorite thing are shoes.  She loves all of them, hers, mine, M and T's....it doesn't matter.  She changes shoes 10 times a day and is definitely our girly girl.  She is a hoot!

Great Day!

Today has been a fun, low key Saturday.  It has been great!!  The kids had a soccer game at 9 am and that is the only thing that was on the agenda.  Can I get an Amen?  It was also beautiful which was a plus.  The only downside was Kev ended up working the bouncers from lunch till about 8.  We missed him but I am glad he did..currently our washing machine is full of dirty towels and standing water.  Might be taking a trip to Sears tomorrow.
Turner scored a goal this morning and they both enjoyed playing.  The kids have been saving their money and I took them to Toys R Us.  They bought together a volleyball net that came with a ball plus badmintons and balls (birdies?? Not sure what they are called)  We then went to Genghis Grill or lunch where Maddie asked the waiter for Mexican chopsticks.  Ha!
Boo Boo met us at home to get the volleyball net set up.  We played outside for hours.  The kids jumped, played with their new toy, shot basketballs, rode scooters, and we went for a walk.  We loved being outside and got our fill for the day.  Turner helped me with my Sunday school lesson and Maddie has begun writing a book about foxy.  She is on Chapter 4:)  Harper skipped nap today and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Thankful for a day to slow down and just enjoy each other.  We must do this more often.

Easter Weekend!

We had a great weekend.  Friday we colored eggs and all 3 kiddos helped.  They had fun and spent a lot of time playing outside as well.  We are loving the warmer weather.
Saturday was packed full of fun.  Kev worked for Fun times so missed out, but he was able to make a bit of extra money.  The kids had a soccer game at 10 and the Church had an Eggstravaganza afterwards.  Both M and T scored a goal and my whole family was there to watch.  They all found a bunch of eggs and then enjoyed hot dogs, snocones, face painting, and jumping in bouncers.  There was a great turnout and fun seemed to be had by all.
We got the kids to bed fairly early...the Easter bunny was coming after all.  No one slept well that night and we were all up by 5:30 ready to go.  The kids loved seeing their easter baskets and hunting for eggs.  We then had to get ready for Church.
We all made it to Sunday School and I was heading to Worship Harper was screaming.  She loves Church and is always happy to be there.  I ended up getting her and she wanted her Daddy.  So her Daddy ended up taking her home.
She fell asleep before they got home.  She was exhausted and was able to get her nap in before lunch with the family.
Best part of Easter Sunday - Mrs. Leann, who has been doing children's church and so much with the kiddos spoke with me after church.  They had an invitation at the end and Turner walked up there to speak with her.  He wants to be a Christian and we are setting up a meeting with her.  He has asked about it twice.  Maddie actually spoke with Brother Fred about a month ago and has lots of questions herself.  We are excited that they are excited and just want to make sure they fully get it.
Afterwards we all had lunch at Mimi and Boo Boo's.  The kids had an egg hunt, there was lots of yummy food, and it was great to just be together.
  He is Risen!
